Britney Back in the Hospital

For the second time this month, troubled singer Britney Spears is in the hospital for psychiatric evaluation. Last night, the singer's home was once again descended upon by police, paramedics and photographers. Brit's psychiatrist felt the singer's recent erratic behavior and reckless driving indicated that she was a danger to herself and others and had her taken to UCLA Medical Center. Britney, who has been diagnosed with a bipolar disorder, was reportedly calm as she was taken away in an ambulance.

This morning, Britney was put on a 72-hour psychiatric hold at the hospital, which most likely will be extended to a 14-day hold, since Britney can currently refuse medication. The singer's mother Lynne (pictured above) and father Jamie are currently involved in a battle over medical decisions involving the singer with her "friend" Sam Lutfi.
