'Dancing with the Stars' judge Bruno Tonioli
arrived at LA's Katsuya restaurant last night accompanied by 'American
Idol' judge Simon Cowell's girlfriend, entertainment reporter Terri
Seymour.
Don't worry, this isn't the 'swap' I was referring to in the headline. I don't think Bruno's long-time partner, Paul, would be too happy if Bruno all of a sudden switched teams. And it doesn't have anything to do with Paula Abdul's aspirations to get on 'DWTS' either.
The two judges are talking about switching shows, for a laugh. Bruno told TV Guide that the two have been working on a scheme that would put Simon in Bruno's place to judge a celebrity hoofer, which would allow Bruno to crush the dreams of an aspiring young singer on 'Idol.'
Says Bruno, 'The people would scream. They would go mad. We've talked about it many times and Simon loves a good laugh.' He continued, 'Look, we're all in the same business. We're all in entertainment, and it's two great shows. We just have to get the networks to agree. We love 'American Idol.' And I'm sure they love our show.'
I'm not so sure, Bruno, Simon has so many competition shows in the US and the UK, that I'm sure he hasn't had a moment to watch one he's not involved with - yours.
