I know this because the table of contents for his Wikipedia profile breaks down his life into 5 sections:

Notice the absence of a 'Personal life' or even discreetly titled 'Controversy' section. Probably because the rapper has been arrested FIFTEEN times.
The causes of his arrests really run the gamut - drugs, animal cruelty, obscene language, assault, public nudity, drunk driving, public disturbance.
My personal favorite is his June 2004 arrest for cocaine, criminal impersonation, criminal possession of a weapon, criminal mischief, menacing, and 'driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol while claiming to be a federal agent and attempting to carjack a vehicle.'
Well, DMX got arrested for something new this week!
This time, straight-up speeding. He's being charged with 'racing on a highway, reckless driving, two counts of endangerment and three counts of criminal speed and driving on a suspended license.' The Arizona Daily Star reports:
'About 8:24 p.m. Jan. 21, the state DPS says Simmons was photographed on the northbound lanes of the Loop 101 driving a 1966 Chevy Nova II at a speed of 100 miles per hour. One minute later as his car reached the Loop 101 at Cactus, cameras recorded Simmons speed at 114 mph. Less than three minutes later Simmons was caught on camera at 101 miles per hour. The posted speed limit is 65 miles per hour.'

It should be interesting to see how DMX gets himself out of this one, but then again, he's done much worse.
