'21' star Kate Bosworth gets a little shopping in during a Sunday
retail expedition in New York's Meatpacking District. The actress was
toting a bag of hair care products by Bumble and bumble.
Kate, who has been recruited to be the new face of Calvin Klein jeans, admits to England's Sunday Express that she has never really fit in with the 'in crowd' in her younger days, and kind of considered herself something of a geek.
The 25-year-old actress said, 'To be honest with you, I was a bit of a loner. Everyone always has this funny idea of me being the high school cheerleader or the prom queen but I really wasn't. I was too goofy. And geeky.'
Kate, whose next role is playing a circus knife thrower in 'Laundry Warrior' also says she strives to be genuine, in an industry best known for its poseurs. She insists, 'I don't like superficiality. I'm not like that. I like having a companion. I like to share.'
With her still-slight frame, I hope someone shares a sandwich with her real soon.
