Mariah Carey Wants You to Buy Her Album. Side Note: She's Married.

Surpassing Elvis Presley and rivaling The Beatles for the top of Billboard's Singles chart since releasing E=MC2 is not enough for Mariah Carey.  She wants more.

After several weeks of bombarding as many media spotlights as she could get her whittled-down figure into, Mariah is using another promotional strategy. Get married!  The NY Post reports:

'Carey married little-screen actor Nick Cannon at the home Carey just bought in Eleuthera, the Bahamas, a source close to the singer said.'

'They have been smitten with each other for days, weeks,' the friend said. 'And she's always had a crush on him.'

Is it a mere coincidence that pop rival Madonna debuted her new album this week? Methinks not, but Madonna is gonna have to do more than just hump Justin Timberlake to beat Mariah on this one.
