Surprise, Ryan Phillipe Cheated on Reese

Even if he wasn't actually sticking his penis into her, he cheated 'emotionally.'

Last night Ryan Phillippe made his first 'yeah, she's my girlfriend' appearance with Stop-Loss costar Abbie Cornish at the 2008 Australian Film Breakthrough Awards last night, where his ex-mistress was being honored for her role in the movie.  People Magazine reports: 

• '"They were adorable," says a guest.  "He had his arm around her and they were cozy and comfortable."  When Cornish – who was being honored with a Breakthrough Award – was introduced, Phillippe rubbed her back while she leaned against his shoulder. Throughout the evening, they held hands.'

Kinda approp. to come out of the infidel closet while commemorating the movie which brought them together in 2006, back when Ryan and Reese were still married. And miserable together.  Apppparently, Ryan still hadn't kicked his inner party boy, while Reese was in full-throttle family mode.  Then along came Abbie - and suddenly, Ryan could behave like a little boy again!

• 'Abbie is a free spirit. She indulges a side of Ryan that he's kept under wraps for years,' a friend said back in December of their on-again pair.

But alas, even the best 'indulgences' have their downsides...

• 'After the divorce, I was a physical wreck. I wanted to die,' Ryan told a UK Magazine last year.  'I was ready to kill myself. I was not taking care of myself at all. I would wake up and cry and vomit.'

Yup, guilt is a bitch!
