Unbe-weave-able!: Celebs Get Wiggy (Male Pattern Boldness Edition)

Posted by: Don Pardo

Wearing a wig doesn't necessarily make a guy less of a man (though it probably doesn't help).

Consider the subjects of today's Unbe-weave-able!: Celebs Get Wiggy. We have actors Adam Sandler, Matthew McConaughey, Woody Harrelson and Jason Lee donning fake tresses in the service of their profession, which is perfectly acceptable.

Beefy singer Meatloaf sporting a shock of faux locks? We'll also give that a pass, but only because we don't want him to eat us.

Wyclef Jean in a white fright wig at the MTV Australia Awards? He's just getting his freak on, yo, and perhaps paying homage to the voodoo traditions of his Haitian homeland.

And Babyshambles frontman Pete Doherty performing in full drag? To be fair, he might have been so hammered on drugs at the time that he actually forgot which gender he is. Who among us hasn't been in that situation?

But don't let us decide for you; click through the gallery and make up your own mind about dudes in feigned manes. While you're at it, leave a comment and let us know how you feel about this hairy situation.

Unbe-weave-able!: Celebs Get Wiggy (Many Modes of Britney Edition)

Posted by: Don Pardo

Many people believe that pop sensation Britney Spears wigged out on February 17, 2007, when she walked into a Tarzana, California, hair salon and shaved her own head.

This is untrue: She actually wigged out in the ensuing months when, in a moment of clarity, she realized that looking like Colonel Kurtz from Apocalypse Now wasn't doing much for her reputation as a sex symbol.

As she waited for her real tresses to grow back, Spears tried out a variety of substitutes, with varying degrees of success. Perusing Brit-Brit's cavalcade of quasi-coiffures, reactions range from "Hey, not bad!" to "Hey, isn't that Linda Tripp?"

Click the gallery below to see for yourself; it's a hair-raising experience.
